This book The Human Magnet Syndrome-Why We Love the People Who Hurt Us is written by Ross Rossenberg. It talks about the co-dependent relationship and how each person in the relationship is damaged from childhood wounds, etc. This is a good support to AJ and Mary's talks about these types of injuries and may help in triggering some of your own emotions. He also has a YouTube channel as well that has a lot of talks in reference to what he shares in his book as well.
It was funny to me that I honestly never knew what a narcissistic personality really was or that I could be a co-dependent type personality until I wanted to really learn what those things really were and be honest with myself. I always heard those words thrown around and just kind of had my own thought on what they were up until then. Makes me wonder how many other areas I have wrong thoughts/beliefs about.
