Developing Mediumship Skills

Post by LauraR » Wed Jan 06, 2016 5:08 am

About two years ago when I first started reading the Through the Mists books and the Padgett Messages - I felt a strong desire to help those spirits that are in dark condition. And those that have passed and just don't know where they are. I also had a few friends and family members pass recently and I felt deep concern for them knowing they did not know Divine Truth.
However I didn't have any mediumship skills that I was aware of and I really didn't have a sense of spirits around me, but I would read outloud - assuming there were spirits around me that could hear. I also read the prayer for Divine Love out loud to them, but I didn't really feel them at first.
That has changed. Now sometimes when I am reading, I will get a sense of them around me and they seem eager so then I will read out loud. Sometimes they will ask questions of me. A question will just pop in my head, so I will answer the questions. Sometimes I feel like I am having a class - but not sure how many are listening :) I do my best to answer as accurately as I can. And I always tell them to look for any spirit brighter than them for help.
Yesterday I was processing a pretty heavy emotion and I got the sense that I knew what the dark spirit in the Hells felt like. I just wanted to hide and I didn't want anyone to look at me. I could understand how the spirits in the Hells stay there for so long. It wasn't until this morning that I realized I was most likely feeling the spirit with me. Although I understand I have the injury that will allow that kind of attachment.
I have also noticed at times when I want to post on the forum - I will not. I have so many fears of being rejected. But then I received a picture in my head and a feeling of spirits that are watching the forum. If I read them correctly, they are like me. They are watching and they want to belong, but they don't know how. They are in dark condition, but they want help - to be loving - they just need assistance. And I get a sense just in me writing this post, they are happy. They have been acknowledged.
I thought these feelings were just mine - now I believe I am developing mediumship skills and I am very happy - and a bit frightened. But listening to Mary in her most recent mediumship sessions - I am just blown away. And if I can help even a few I would be so greatful. I hope I am interpreting what is happening correctly and any feedback would be appreciated.
Thank you Nicky and to all those involved in the forum!

Hello Laura.

I can't give you any help in your interpretations at the moment. Maybe someone who knows more can do that. But I just want to say that I did a similar thing the other day for the first time. It was after listening to Jesus talk about how when we get older the physical body starts looking like our spirit body and soul condition I guess. And I realized my mom (after dying from cancer) may be in a tough place. Although from my perspective (not God's maybe) she was very loving, I know she had a lot of fears. Which I have now, which is maybe not so loving :). Anyway, I suggested to her in my mind something similar to what Jesus suggests to the spirits in the mediumship sessions. Like try saying this: "If there is a God and he/she has some love for me, please let me feel it." And long for God's love as a feeling and then allow yourself to feel the feelings that come up.

Something like that.

I have no idea if she or anyone else heard me, but just in case I felt like trying. Your post encourages me to perhaps try it more and develop. Although it is a little scary, Jesus and Mary has given me a whole new perspective of these things. I have yet to experience them. It sounds like a good addition to suggest that they look for help from brighter spirits.

I love the medium sessions! I will try and see if I can find more on the divine truth website. I think I've seen all the others now. Not that I am addicted :D

Thanks for sharing.
Joakim.

Good morning Joakim!
(At least morning here in California)
There are a couple of videos to watch entitled "the loving use of mediumship" - they are from a few years ago but give excellent advice (of course). There is also a recent feedback session entitled "helping spirits in emotional pain". I felt very good after hearing that one, that what I have been doing - and what you have been doing recently with your mother - "works" if done right.
If you haven't read the Through the Mists books or the Padgett Messages, I would suggest you read them. (They are addicting as well! I would wake at 4:00 in the morning to read for a couple of hours before going to work). They are excellent and gave me a real sense of the confusion and sadness - darkness - those that have passed are in (not all of them of course). I had a nephew who passed from injuries do to the war in Iraq. I knew he was in a very dark and confused condition before he passed. He believed he would be damned to hell for what he did. I speak to him often. I don't have a real sense of him yet. I cannot tell where he is in the spirit world, but I will keep praying.
The books also gave me the understanding that spirits are just people - although I can't see them at present - and some can be scary - they are still people and if they want help, I would like to help.
I am still very new at this as well. And I know I have to be careful. I am at present doing my best to feel what is "me" and what is "not me" if that makes sense. I think it will also be very helpful in being able to feel when the dark spirits are attaching to me because I am avoiding a feeling.
I will offer one more suggestion that has helped me and that is to talk or read out loud to the spirits or your family members/friends or even write to them. It is when my mind is occupied in the talking - that the questions pop in - or I get a sudden sense of someone being with me. I believe it is helping me to distinguish between the "me" and the "not me". I used to be afraid of the "not me" - but not so much anymore.
I wish you luck and keep praying for your mother and send her love. Our love always assists.
Have a wonderful day!

Good morning Laura.

I am sorry I haven't been able to reply in a week. Thank you for your suggestions! I found the videos and just started watching the latest one you suggested. I feel, like you also mention you being careful, that I should use caution at this time and focus on my injuries first maybe. That seems to be what Jesus says in the video you mentioned too although I haven't finished it yet. I have not read "Through the mists" and just a few Padgett messages so far but I have been curious about the book.

There is so much to do and so much to cover :). Again, thanks for your suggestions and good luck to you too!

All the best,
Joakim.
