Hi all,
I'm wondering whether we can discuss a bit about what spirit attack feels like?
Yesterday I was feeling some sadness and some weird thoughts popped into my head and took me out of the emotion. They were thoughts that made me feel sexual shame and because I don't want to feel that, I just got right out of the sadness I was feeling. Then I started accidentally hurting myself randomly (burning my hands on hot water, etc). I reflected a bit on this and I was thinking that spirits might have used my sexual shame to get me out of feeling my emotion, by triggering my self punishment (for the weird thoughts).
Then this morning has been a very clumsy morning for me and again I keep hurting myself by accident.
I wonder if this is what spirit attack feels like? Eg. Accidentally hurting yourself, being clumsy.
Anyone have thoughts?
Sandina

Hi Sandina ~
Your question reminds me of a recent experience I had, while in a lull of some emotion that was otherwise moving through, I was suddenly aware of some dark thoughts going through my mind. I thought it was quite odd, and wondered if it might be spirits. I felt to ask for protection and was readily relieved of the disturbance. But I've never thought to ask if spirits are involved when I hurt myself.
Soon after reading your query, I listened to a discussion with Jesus & Mary in Kentucky, where Jesus answered y/our question! He said there are 2 primary reasons why we hurt ourselves: 1) We step away from ourselves (go out of our bodies) to avoid an emotion, and then a spirit comes in. 2) We want to blame ourselves to avoid an emotion, and to get 'love', attention, commiseration.
Here is the link to the entire discussion, which is really super helpful around issues of self-worth, developing compassion, & having patience with ourselves ~

Feeling about your question, alongside hearing Jesus & Mary & all who took part in the discussion in Kentucky, has helped me stay soft today. Thank You so much!
